Apocalypse-Writing Prompt Slowly reality faded back. The first thing that hit him was the agony he felt in his head. It was as if a tank ran over it while he was asleep. Where was he? This didn't seem right. It was hot and different noises swirled around his head making it hurt even more. He could smell something. It was familiar, hot, and suffocating. He coughed as he slowly opened his eyes still not knowing where he was. As his eyes opened he couldn't see. Everything was still so black, but the black seemed to be moving, shifting like a fog. Then he knew. Smoke! He stood up trying to cover his mouth and move away. He finally stumbled out of the breath-stealing haze. Apocalypse Reborn Ch1 Nick sat in his room on the fourth floor of the apartment building. It was dark but again he couldn't sleep. He sat on his bed against the wall. Expertly he lit a cigarette, inhaling the intoxacating fumes he sighed and exhaled. How long has it been? How long has it been since they reatched New Orleans? Six? Yes, six months. In that six months Ellis, Rochelle, Coach, and Nick had slit up and gone their seperate ways. Now the only person Nick saw frequently was Ellis. Ellis probably took the split up the hardest. After all that they had been through, the four had sorta formed a crack family. In the vast city of New Orleans Nick only saw Rochel What If... What if... what if everything had stayed somewhat normal... What if they never got infected... What if I was still alive. I wish. God, I wish... Scenario One:
Brenda Benson brings a burned CD to school one day because she wants to share the music with her friends. The teacher says she must use her own discretion because sometimes the school board doesn't like that she can bring in music without permission. One day the school board finds out that she brought music in to share and they punish her and ask the teacher to crack down more on his students.

Scenario Two:

The IP Act (S.968 - PROTECT IP Act of 2011) establishes a system for taking down websites that the Justice Department determines to be "dedicated to infringing activities." The DoJ or the copyright owner would be able to commence a legal action against the alleged infringer and the DoJ would be allowed to demand that search engines, social networking sites and domain name services block access to the targeted site. In some cases, action could be taken to block sites without first allowing the alleged infringer to defend themselves in court. The PROTECT IP Act would allow copyright owners – movie studios and other content providers – simply to accuse a website of infringement, which could lead to that site being shut down by court order and entire links to the site being wiped clean from the Internet. The bill is so poorly written that it would allow any copyright owner to shut down a legitimate retail website, such as Amazon or Best Buy, by alleging that one product being sold on the site could "enable or facilitate" an infringement. It could even allow any content owner to block access to the Patent Office website if it receives and posts a patent application for a product that is believed to use content without permission. The PROTECT IP Act will hurt American innovation. This bill will give one side the power to put the other side out of business and this is dangerous beyond words.

Call your represenatives and senators and politely tell them that this is NOT okay. E-mail, share information to social media sites, post and do what you can RIGHT NOW. Call the local newspapers and TV stations.

If you live elsewhere

Post to your journal, make a news article, share links from those sites I listed on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Youtube, Live Journal and where ever else you can. E-mail people. Get the word out. Tell any Americans you know that this is bad and they need to speak to their representatives about it. NOW.

I now have a Canon EOS 1000D which will be my primary camera from now on. I absolutely love it. I'm just using the 18-55mm lens for now.

I started a new blog today!

Once again I find my home page flooded with stolen work.

It annoys me to no end.
I especially love when I comment someone asking them nicely to remove the deviation that doesn't belong to them and they hide my comment and say I'm spamming.

Really?

PEOPLE JUST DON'T GIVE A SHIT!

I know that not everyone is like me.
I know that a lot of people don't browse Deviantart, Flickr and other art sites for hours.
I know that not everyone will recognize stolen work right away.

For crying out loud though, READ THE COMMENTS. If there's an overwhelming response to a deviation where many people are saying it's stolen, report it!

It doesn't matter how cute or how fuzzy the deviation makes you. If it's stolen it's stolen and the real artist is out there somewhere. I'm well aware that putting something on the internet makes it easy to steal but that's not the point. DeviantART is not Photobucket ( although you wouldn't know it most of the time )!

There's this nifty site called TinEye which helps me if a deviation looks fishy or I'm not completely sure of who the original artist is. You can install it on IE, Chrome and Firefox. It's really helpful. I know it's not perfect but it's been really good to me so far.

Don't contribute to art theft by favoriting and not caring.

Canadians are about to be faced with some epic bandwidth restrictions and we need to take action. If you're in Canada, please share the sites and video below with your friends and family. Contact your MP and anyone that you can think of to help. Post information on Facebook and Twitter ( and hash tag it with anything that may be relevant ). To anyone outside of Canada, please help get the word out. News outlets are finally starting to report about the UBB but we can use all the help that we can get.


So what is Usage-Based Billing and why are we opposed to it? *

With Usage-Based Billing, large Internet Service Providers (ISP) provide you with a ridiculously-low download cap, and charge you as you download more than it. Caps recommended have been as low as 25GB. As Bell is losing its fixed-line telephone customers and soon television customers, Usage-Based Billing is yet another way to increase profits and gouge customers.

Currently, you can obtain unlimited download, meaning you can view as many videos and photos, for a fixed amount. With the latest CRTC decision, you will be unable to fully enjoy the internet. Large companies want to charge as much as $2.00 per Gigabyte. This means an average High-Definition movie would cost $8.00 only to download.

At the same time, Bell is promoting its new “Fibe TV” which do not incur download fees. This is a clear antitrust breach as Bell is using Internet caps to actively promote their overpriced services.

In short, internet will soon cost much, much more. With internet limit, we believe that Canada will fall behind even some third-world countries.

Anyone who reads my journals should know that I've said this many times before, but here I go again. I haven't uploaded a deviation since July 18th. That's pretty sad. I've lost inspiration for months now ( hence the huge gap in between uploads and the lack of newer work ) and it's really bugging me. I'm thinking of trying film photography again as I barely started it before I gave up. I have some Polaroids from a couple of years ago that I'd like to scan ( if I can find my scanner and get it working ) and upload.

I'd like to also do a feature tomorrow so please post if you're interested
