The broken hearted walk among us.
Empty souls left bruised and discarded.
Walking on two feet, but their legs are broken.
Reaching out when they are drowning only to grasp air.
Smothering.
Smothering.

As if anyone would pay heed to these souls.
They cast no shadow.
Invisible to all they may encounter.
Casting no reflection in the mirror.
They are no one.
No one.

The broken hearted walk among us.

No reflection.

The mirror.

An illusion.

The soul.
