In case you're wondering, I actually didn't blur this at all. I was able to focus it like this on my own. The only editing I did was cropping and enhancing the brightness a bit.

Critiques

:iconmachinesbleedtoo:
This is spooky and sad and lonely. I'm not sure why I get these mixed emotions- I think it's the greys that make me feel sadness, the lone droplet that makes me feel lonely, and the sword-like shape of the grass that gives it that spooky vibe. Like blood dripping off the edge of a knife.

The way the background gets lighter as the image progresses upwards is very nice indeed and the silhouettes of the other pieces of plantation in the background give it a very eerie feel.

The only real critique I can offer is maybe bringing the colour of the grass out just a tiny bit, to make it more green. And while the white bits on the body of it add a lot of realism and sense of common-ness [like it's something you do find in real life, and you can appreciate it's beauty as such] I personally found it a tad distracting in comparison to the sleek look of the rest of that strand of..plant.

Beautiful capture. I hope I was of help!

I have to disagree with the other commenter, I think the background is perfectly blurred. Otherwise, there wouldn't be much focus on the blade of grass. I say well done.

Interesting shot. The green blade could have been made a bit brighter, though.

Actually i cant be brute, since i have tried lots of times to shoot a drop i have failed miserably, this is a nicer attempt, still is nice to see you use the same camera model i own so that gives me hope.
So yeah is nice but not awesome, i wish it was a bit brighter and clearer more details, but i still like it.

This is intense. And contrary to popular crits here I believe it is wonderful that you blurred out the background and darkened the sprig of grass. It makes the water drop that much more intense. Also I love the intense detail you can see within the drop. Its beautiful. And truly breath taking.
